Chateau Ste. Michelle has been a champion of Riesling for more than 40 years and was among the first to plant Riesling in the state of Washington. Today, Chateau Ste. Michelle offers up to eight different Riesling styles designed to showcase the versatility of Riesling and the regional styles within Washington’s Columbia Valley, which produces more Riesling than any other American wine region.

Our commitment and passion to Riesling has led us to host one of the largest events dedicated to Riesling in the United States called Riesling Rendezvous in Seattle, Washington. Co-hosted by Dr. Loosen, the highly acclaimed German Riesling estate and our partner on Eroica Riesling, the event is designed to bring together leading Riesling experts and producers to explore the versatility of Rieslings from around the world.

I believe the soil, climate and grapes in the northwest appellations afford the opportunity to make wines ranked among the best in their class. I have been fortunate in my many years as Seven Hills winemaker to have developed fruit sources where I harvest from the same rows-the same vines each year. This is a precious resource for us, knowing the vines and working closely with our growers, we can craft wines attaining the full potential of the grape.”
